چکیده
Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF) slag is currently utilized with low-grade applications or landfilled. Here, we investigate a novel route to upgrade BOF high-performance binder by chemical activation tri-potassium citrate. The impact of citrate on hydration and phase assemblage analyzed multi-technique approach. Results reveal that the addition considerably enhances reactivity brownmillerite accelerates belite at early ages. majority hydrates within 24 h, reaction kinetics controlled activator dosage. main products are siliceous hydrogarnet C-S-H gel. Acting as strong water reducer, enables manufacture pastes high compressive strength (up 75 MPa 28 days) low porosity. Leaching heavy metals from fulfills Dutch Soil Quality Decree limits.
